The council is a consultee on all planning applications.
Between May 2008 to May 2009 the Council has handled 25 Planning Applications, to great effect, some high profile ones such as Swingers, Scott’s Farm, The Crown Public House, 14 and 35 Lincoln Road, and most of our views were supported by the Planning Authority and the Planning Inspectorate. We also made comments on the Core Strategy and the Local Development Framework, as well as on the conservation area appraisal.

A Village Design Statement has also been produced and can be viewed below.  This has been adopted by the City Council as Council Approved Guidance.
